IMI Bhubaneswar: the future is bright

AICTE approved IMI Bhubaneswar, is now open for admissions to its founding batch. These privileged students will occupy IMI’s new, state of the art 16 acre campus.
Faculty of IMI Delhi – ranked among the top three in the intellectual capital of India – will be fully involved in IMI Bhubaneswar. The students here will follow the same curriculum and pedagogy as IMI’s Delhi MBAs.

For a long time the eastern belt of India was starved for a good management institute. IMI, noticing this lack, worked towards opening a B-school to match the best in the world.

Meticulous planning, deep thinking and careful faculty recruiting made IMI Bhubaneswar into a beautiful,    top of the line management institute with a commitment built around three powerful concepts. “The creation of knowledge, the dissemination of knowledge and the application of knowledge,” says Padma Shri Dr. Pritam Singh, Director General of the International Management Institute (IMI), Delhi. “These three concepts translate into research, teaching and being involved in executive education. These are the three pillars that create a holistic school which is what IMI Bhubaneswar is.”

IMI Bhubaneswar will be offering the best International standard management education, including Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). These programs have very focused and practical Industry-oriented curriculum. The aim is to groom students for immediate employability. “Students of the Bhubaneswar campus will also earn the same placement opportunities as the students of IMI Delhi,” Dr. Pritam Singh promises.

“By choosing to be the student of the first batch at IMI Bhubaneswar, you may be opting for the road less travelled. But let me assure you that the path you tread will be far more exciting than the beaten track that many others may take,” Dr. Somayajulu Garimella, Director, International Management Institute-Bhubaneswar, fortifies the IMI promise.

IMI’s new campus has the latest world-class facilities that stimulate interactive learning with separate academic and residential blocks. The academic block features lecture theatres, faculty offices, meeting rooms and auditoriums that can seat up to 300 students. The residential blocks are equipped with wi-fi and have space for up to 400 students.

About IMI:

In 1981, IMI, in collaboration with IMI Geneva – now IMD, Lausanne – opened its Indian doors for the first time New Delhi. This was at a time when B-schools were in their infancy here. Soon, IMI was recognized as a leading management institution. In fact, IMI Delhi is ranked 14 among the top management institutes, including IIMs, and 3rd in the intellectual capital. This was in a survey published by Business World (June 28, 2010). Today IMI is India’s first corporate sponsored Business School with sponsorship RPG Enterprises, Williamson Magor, Nestle, ITC, Tata Chemicals, BOC, etc.
